The Klatzcos have a very old sefer torah that they use for a Shabbos minyan in their home. They keep it in a very beautiful aron. If you don’t know the Klatzcos, start by downloading the shabatt.com app for your phone.
The klaf is very brittle and the eitz chaim are not big enough. This slowly damages the sefer torah.
We are going to replace the eitz chaim with a new more practical design that will protect the sefer torah.
Since the new eitz chaim are bigger, a new mantel is also needed. It is in memory of Rabbi Bentzion Klatzco’s brother who was a powerhouse in Jewish outreach.
The writing in the sefer torah is interesting. The תגים have תגים on top of them (the crowns on the letters have additional crowns on top of them).
The beginning of the sefer torah is is attached. I will now roll the sefer torah to the other end.
The sefer torah is ready for use.
